Eagle Strike (Alex Rider Book 3) is not a bad read and actually none of the books from Anthony Horowitz’s Alex Rider/Stormbreaker books are. If you like mystery thrillers and young teen novels then I recommend Horowitz. Good fun, good laugh, good listen. I really enjoyed this story. While I'll say that Miranda's adventures do seem a little over the top, Harper handles each point in the story with humor and charm that make it easy to overlook the outlandish nature of some of the plot points.

I saw this book initially in my library and upon reading the description, I wasn't sure that I was interested in the preface. A cyborg Cinderella and moon-people enemies? Every so often a book comes along that I like well enough to read from beginning to end without stopping. Rarer is the book I bother to reread. There is only one book that I have read cover to cover without stop only to turn around and read it again making it so that I literally read it twice in a single sitting.

I enjoyed this so very much.

Now, I'll say that (to use a fan-fic phrase for lack of a better one) there was a bit of hand-waving (e.g. no developed reason why someone who was thought to be dead, isn't) and the plot is not for the faint of heart (someone BROKE the timeline! the Avengers must fix it!).

I have really gotten into comic books of late and I'm reading a good many of the collected volumes. My rule of thumb regarding graphic novels and comic books volumes is that I have to read two in the same series before I can count one of them (or the series name) towards my Read-The-Alphabet-Challenge.
